WomanKind Health & Wellness Expands Physician Group, Plans Move to Easton

Introduction of OB/GYN group marks the first multiple-physician medical center to join the Easton community

Columbus, OH – Aug. 10, 2007 – WomanKind Health and Wellness Center will relocate its East Side practice in January when it moves into a new retail-medical-office complex – The Offices at Easton Station - at 4030 Easton Station in the Easton Town Center.

The move is being made to better accommodate patients and a growing practice, according to Dr. Stephen Richards, WomanKind’s senior physician.

“This facility has served us well for 16 years, but our practice is growing and we need more space,” Richards said. “Ultimately, we’re doing this with our patients in mind. We will be able to provide more comprehensive services in the new location. We will add two surgical suites to the practice, more parking and access to the amenities of Easton.”

The surgical suites will be used for in-office procedures, expanding a service niche of WomanKind Health & Wellness Center’s physicians. In addition to gynecology and obstetrics, the practice specializes in the areas of minimally-invasive surgeries including: office-based procedures, pelvic floor reparative and uterine conserving surgery, urinary loss and laparoscopy.

“This move paves the way for more convenient access to a variety of in-office services for our patients,” said Dr. Steven P. Balaloski, who operates WomanKind in partnership with Dr. Richards. “It enables us to expand our ability to provide thermal ablation, a quick, in-office treatment for heavy bleeding; treatment for urinary incontinence; and in- office sterilization.”

WomanKind is currently located in a 4,000-square-foot office at 6100 E. Main St., Suite 105. The Easton facility will double the size of WomanKind’s space to 8,000 square feet.

Richards noted that a medical lab also will be located in the building, resulting in quicker turnaround times on test results.

The move to Easton comes as WomanKind recently added a third physician, Elezabeth M. Young.
